Doug Jones 171 lbs beat Von Clay 176 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

"Unheralded and undefeated Doug Jones won and lost in his first major fight last night. The tall, angular New Yorker won a unanimous decision in ten gruelling, bloody rounds over light heavyweight contender Von Clay of Philadelphia at St. Nicholas Arena. But two cuts around his left eye cost the 23 year old Jones a promised television fight with veteran Willie Pastrano at Miami Beach, April 22. The wounds required 10 stitches and brought Jones an automatic 30 day medical suspension." -Associated Press
