"Duilio Loi, European lightweight champion, came through his first American ring test in good shape last night, scoring a unanimous decision over the St. Paul toughie, Glen Flanagan. The Italian was far from sensational, however, in his debut before a nationwide audience. Except for Flanagan's rough-house tactics, it was a dull fight. The 3,105 fans clapped twice for action. Loi jumped into the lead with a flashy attack in the first two rounds, but he lacked the punching power to do Flanagan any serious damamge." -Associated Press
