Duncan McDonald was a boxing and wrestling referee from Butte, Montana. He officiated in different areas of the Pacific Northwest in the early 20th century.

The April 7, 1908 Seattle Times reported on a wrestling card in Seattle: "The difficulty was finally solved by the selection of Duncan McDonald, of Butte, dignified and bald and anxious to please. Duncan is the big sporting authority in Butte, and he used to referee all the big boxing matches over there."

From the June 13, 1909 Seattle Times: "Duncan McDonald the old-time fistic star and for years promoter of the big pugilistic and wrestling events around Butte, has been appointed official referee of the Arena for all important bouts. He knows the game from A to Z and his presence in the ring lends prestige to any sporting event."
