Eddie Record is probably best known for being the first man to beat Jack Sharkey (3-0) as a professional. He also shared the ring with Battling Levinsky in July of 1921.
After retiring, Record taught boxing classes to youngsters at the YMCA in Nashua, New Hampshire, and refereed some amateur bouts. In 1936, Record was the police chief in Wilton, NH, and in 1969 he worked for a prominent savings and loan association. [1] [2] [3]
