Summary

Miranda was the busier fighter as he came forward while Vegas played the role of a slick counterpuncher. In round 3, Vegas was bothered by a series of head shots, and went down to a knee. Later in the round, Miranda backed Vegas to the corner, and put Vegas down again with a right hand and two left hooks. In round 5, Vegas was having some success countering to the head of Miranda, but again found himself in the corner. A series of head punches left Vegas slumping momentarily on the ropes, and the referee stepped in.
