Zamora won the first two rounds with left jabs to Sanchez's head and body, as Sanchez threw hardly any punches. In the 3rd, Sanchez pummelled Zamora to the body, and put him down for a knockdown. Zamora got up, and traded with Sanchez for the remainder of the round. The 4th round started slowly, until Sanchez landed a right hand to score his second knockdown of the fight. Zamora rose after taking the mandatory eight-count, but was sent down again by a right hand. Referee Pete Pompa immediately stopped the bout.
