“Donato Paduano’s limitations were blatantly exposed last night by Emile Griffith, who outpointed him one-sidedly with one hand after injuring his right shoulder in the third round of their 10-rounder before a so-so crowd of an estimated 8,000 at the Forum. Griffith beat him with a stiff left jab, a good hook and a hocus-pocus with the right that effectively concealed from Paduano’s corner that something was wrong. The Gazette card made Griffith a 50-42 runaway.”
