"A doping test made on New York middleweight Emile Griffith after his draw with Max Cohen of France "showed positive results," the French Boxing Federation announced Tuesday. Neither the substance Griffith was supposed to have taken nor its possible effect on the 35 year old former world champion was revealed by Bernard Restout, president of the federation. Griffith was hampered by a cold during a week's training in Paris before the fight and was on medication. The fight between Griffith and Cohen at the Palais Des Sport was slow and without knockdowns." -Associated Press
