Mohamed Sahib of Syria was on equal terms with tough German Erich Walter in the first rounds. Both men slugged it out. A left hook dropped Sahib for an 8 count in the 6th. Sahib seemed to quit by staggering to his corner,but was ordered to fight on. This he tried, but after a few seconds the referee halted the affair.
