After one year of thinking, 23- year old Erik Jorgensen of Denmark made a comeback against the strong Finn Kurt Mattsson (8-1-1). The fight was over 4 rounds.
Jorgensen ( 9-6-1 )had in his third fight at the age of 19 been TKO' d by Bo Hogberg, and seems to never have quite recovered.
A left hook from the Dane sent the Finn down for an 8 count in the 3rd. The Finn almost stopped the Dane with hard hooks and uppercuts to the Dane's solar plexus.
The drawn verdict from all 3 referees was well received by the crowd and the fighters.
