Comments

It was apparent that Alekseevs had some real mechanical problems concerning his balance. Beyond the two knockdowns, he also went to the mat twice from slippages. He repeatedly lost his balance and was often lunging toward Lara and that is how the final knockdown occurred. Alexseevs, immediately after getting up from the first knockdown, lunged in and threw a right hand that Lara was able to dodge and counter with a solid left. Alekseevs, as previously noted, was up at 7 but he staggered more in the direction of his corner than referee Heinrich Muehmert.
