"The standing room only crowd in the Samoa Room saw Ernie Lopez hold a slight edge with his rapid fire punches in the first four rounds. George Green made them all close however, and brought blood from Lopez's nose with a stinging right hand shot in the 3rd. But Lopez, who has a beauty of a straight right hand, pinned Green on the ropes in the 5th round and knocked him groggy with a fusillade of punches causing guest referee Joe Louis to halt the proceedings at the 1:25 mark with Green in a bad way." -The Las Vegas SUN
