Mr. Chaline was a native of Lake Charles and lived in Houston for 17 years. He moved back to Lake Charles in 1975. Mr. Chaline competed as an amateur boxer for the Knights of Columbus from 1948-1955. In 1955, he boxed as a professional for 17 years. He moved back to Lake Charles in 1975 and worked as a painter and commercial artist. Mr. Chaline was a member of the Painters Local Union 1244 and a member of the Masonic Lodge Heights Blvd. in Houston.
