"Leading lightweight contender Esteban DeJesus displayed his best form in scoring a 10th round knockout in Clemente Coliseum over former junior welterweight title holder Alfonso (Peppermint) Frazer in 1:01 of the final heat. After a fairly tame first round, a bomb exploded in the form of a solid rapier-like right to the jaw that dropped Frazer at the one minute mark for the mandatory eight count. Frazer's best round was the 5th when he connected well but finished back tracking from DeJesus' relentless attack. Badly shaken in the 6th, Frazer did little fighting the rest of the way and finally was taken out of action by a resounding left hook that stretched him out flat on his back for the finale." -Ring Magazine, April 1974 issue
