"Eugene (Cyclone) Hart of Philadelphia scored a one-punch knockout against Doc Holliday of Columbus, Ohio, at 33 seconds of the 2nd round in a middleweight match at the Spectrum here Monday night. Holliday attempted to hold off the aggressive Hart with a jab and a short right hand to Hart's head but with little effect. Hart, 161, forced Holliday, 159, into a corner early in the 2nd round of the scheduled 10-round bout and tossed a powerful left hook that landed high on his opponent's cheek. Holliday's head snapped back and then he fell forward onto the canvas. Referee Bob Polis began the count but stopped when he realized that Holliday was hurt." -Associated Press
