Felix Carr, 23, died of injuries sustained in a June 28, 1899 bout with George Wongo (George Wanco/Kid Wanko) in Parkersburg, PA, USA. (Carr died of his injuries the next morning. Buffalo evening News (Buffalo, NY, USA).)
On Oct. 17, 1899, Wanko was convicted of "voluntary manslaughter." A motion for a new trial was immediately made. On retrial in Feb. 1900, the jury ruled "involuntary manslaughter." Wanko was released in May 1900.
