Friedemann was of Jewish heritage per The Hank Kaplan Archives. Won the German (VDF) National Bantamweight Title in October of 1925 defeating Urban Grass by TKO in the 11th rd and held the Bantamweight Title until 1928. Winning this title was probably Friedemann’s most significant victory in his professional career. Not known at this time if he and his family escaped Germany before the Nazi’s came to power in 1932.
