Morgan knocked Foley down in the 2nd round for a count of eight with a left hook to the chin, and for a second time in the 5th round with the same blow, for a count of one. Foley fought out of a fog the rest of the way, according to the Vancouver Sun as he tried to crowd Morgan and penetrate his defense, to no avail. The Sun scored the bout 8-2-2 in rounds for Morgan.

Leslie (Wildcat) Carter was introduced in the ring and shook hands with both fighters before the bout.
