Denning fought aggressively at the beginning and pinned Stillman to the ropes where he landed, but left himself open for counter-punches. Stillman had taken control of the fight by the 5th round, and dropped an exhausted Denning three times in the 6th round. Denning's corner threw in the towel after the 6th.
