Brown dominated Arizmendi, per the Los Angeles Daily News. Brown largely out-maneuvered Arizmendi, but was able to outslug him when it was necessary to stand and fight. Bert Morse and Frankie Garcia who were handling Arizmendi, told the Los Angeles Record that Arizmendi was sick with a chest ailment, in explaining his poor performance.
