Wolfe sent Brown through the ropes in the 1st round, and halfway through them again in the 2nd round. Brown battled back though as he crowded Wolfe, and outlanded him. The Reading Times felt that Brown's ability to swing his body from side-to-side bewildered Wolfe, who could not solve this defense, in the later rounds.
