Manfredo outboxed Pemberton for the first two rounds, then landed a vicious flurry of blows in the 3^rd that pushed Pemberton into a corner and opened him up for a phenominal uppercut. Pemberton went down, but got back up, only to get caught with another flurry and a hard right hook that knocked him down for a 2^nd time. Once again, he rose, and once again, Manfredo stepped in to deliver a punishing series of blows, but the referee stopped the fight at that point, before Pemberton could get knocked down a 3^rd time and invoke Rhode Island's 3-knockdown rule.

Of note: this fight was delayed a day by severe weather -- a blizzard. Unofficially, Manfredo weighed in at 180 just before the fight, to Pemberton's 182.
