Bout Summary
Bobby Gunn dropped Gross twice in round one. During the second round, Gross dropped Gunn and continued to hit him with multiple punches while he was down. Referee Fred Boges did not disqualify nor take a point away from Gross. Instead ruling Gross a tko winner.
Gross failed the postfight drug test and Tennesee Athletic Commission ruled the bout no contest. The IBA vacated the IBA world cruiserweight title.
