- Doel Carrasquillo is dropped in round one by the quick and multiple punches of Kenny Abril. He is able to regain his feet though and Abril tried to seize the oppurtunity but was caught by Carrasquillo hooks in round two.
- It became a battle of the puncher vs. the boxer but Carrasquillo is finally able to wear down Abril and caught him with three good hooks in round five that sent him to the canvas. He is able to reach his feet but Carrasquillo jumps on him with six unanswered punches, that forced a stoppage of the fight by Sean Clark.
