Louis Kid Cocoa, 147, of New Haven, New England Welterweight champion, outpointed Werther Arcelli, 148, of Boston. Kid Cocoa did a workmanlike job in winning from Arcelli and showed himself far more clever than the Hub City battler. With the possible exception of the fifth round, Cocoa had everything his own way, forced the fighting and landed the majority of the blows.
