After two relatively close opening rounds, Moore asserted control in the 3rd round as Cervantes engaged Moore, only to find Moore getting the better of those exchanges. Moore maintained control in the 4th. In the 5th round, Moore backed Cervantes up with left hooks to the body. With his left side open, Moore would shoot a right to the jaw that sent Cervantes down for the ten count.
