Soto was clearly outmatched by Tubbs both at range and inside; Soto kept throwing looping punches that were easily blocked and countered by the superior hand speed of his opponent. He appeared to have difficulty fighting against the natural right-hander in orthodox stance, and was hit with several powerful, and apparently unexpected, right hooks early in the bout.
