Tommy Bell 147 lbs beat Billy Cooper 159 lbs by SD in round 10 of 10

This was a very poor fight, as Cooper fought in retreat, while Bell seemed uninterested in engaging with Cooper. The commission stated after the bout, that they would seek to withhold the purses of both boxers. Bell floored Cooper for a nine-count in the 5th round, with two rights to the jaw. Bell lost two rounds because of low blows.

Source: Cleveland Plain Dealer, which favoured Cooper 5-4-1 in rounds.
