Garcia came out of his corner to begin the bout, and staggered Payan with a right to the jaw. Garcia followed with three more right hands, that got Payan to clinch. Garcia followed with a right uppercut, that dropped Payan for a five-count. Payan rose with his hands at his side, and the referee stopped the bout.
