After clowning for the first three rounds, Murdock went down from what most of the crowd and the referee felt was an obvious dive. Rose didn't bother to count, as Murdock rolled around on the canvas. The two were ordered to box the 5th round, where Murdock went down three more times, and appeared hurt after the third knockdown. Trulmans put Murdock down again in the 6th, and Murdock took the count sitting down, and jumped up and went to his corner as the toll reached ten.
