Tony DeMarco, North End junior welterweight (140 pounds) took mostly a session in road work against Chick Boucher of New York. Striving for a TV shot in the future, DeMarco caught up with Boucher often enough to floor him in the second, fourth (twice), fifth and sixth rounds. The last time referee Jimmy McCarron halted the track meet. Boucher had beaten Tony in the past, when DeMarco was cut for a TKO, and before the North Ender had “retired” two years ago. DeMarco, since his return, has advanced beyond the league in which Boucher finds himself.
