Pancho was knocked down in the 2nd round by a right hand, for a six-count. The Sacramento Bee felt this was a bad decision, as they felt Pancho deserved a draw at worst. Pancho forced the action in the bout, as he was much quicker than Huat. Despite scoring a knockdown with his right, Huat did not throw the punch often in the match.
