Joe Miceli, 152 pounds, of Camp Atterbury, Massachusetts, scored a technical knockout over Andy Anderson, 154 pounds, of Indianapolis, in the second round of their scheduled 10-round main bout at the Grand Rapids Stadium Miceli caught his foe flush with a left hook early in the second round and dropped him. Anderson arose at the count of five, dazed. Referee Bobby Rings counted to eight, then allowed the boys to continue. A few moments later Miceli rushed, smashing lefts and rights to the face and body of Anderson, and Andy’s hands dropped to his side. A glassy stare was all Rings needed to stop the fight. (AP)
