Miceli got off to fast start, and shook Lowry several times with his left hook. Miceli began to tire in the 5th round, and was in retreat for the remainder of the fight. In the 8th round, a right hand to the jaw sent Miceli down for a three count. After he got up, he was floored for the ten-count by another right hand.
This was the main event of the final program at Hollywood Legion Stadium.
