Soto outboxed Aragon in the early portions of the bout. Aragon who landed harder blows that showed their effects on Soto, began to rally in the 8th round, as he pounded Soto along the ropes in both the 8th and 9th rounds. Aragon put Soto down for an eight count in the final round, before finishing him with a right hand for the ten-count.
