Uboldi, who had been impressive in previous New Orleans fights, was out-of-shape, and the Boxing Commission ordered both his purse and that of Centella to be withheld. However, Promoter Allen LaCombe paid them anyway and was suspended for 45 days. The New Orleans Times-Picayune felt that Uboldi deserved the decision by a shade.
