According to the promoter: Johnson started out with his left shoulder forward and his glove dropped loosely below his waist, perhaps already anticipating the beating he was about to get from the rookie fighter. Birthmark, with reflexes like a cat, began striking his opponent with precise and intentional jabs. He landed some left hooks in the second round, his endless energy never dwindling, finishing the third round with a smile, still unduanted like it was only the first round. Birthmark charged out of his corner in the fourth round, attacking Johnson with a series of punches. Johnson was unable to keep up with the rookie, and while Birthmark won his first professional match, Johnson suffered his first loss.
