According to the promoter: Denontiney charged out of his corner in the first round like it was all you could eat night at the Lucky Eagle Buffet. The portly Denontiney was hungry for a victory, but in the end it was his sagging tummy that got in the way. Bercier targeted Denontiney’s soft underbelly, and his gloves thumped Denontiney’s plump abdomen until he could not take it anymore. After being dropped twice in the second round with two devastating gut busting wallops, Denontiney decided not to answer the bell to start the third round, thus disqualify himself and his drooping waistline.
