Arizmendi decisively defeated Palmore, closing strongly in the last four rounds as he pounded Palmore around the ring. Palmore's best moment in the 3rd round, came when he butted Arizmendi and opened a cut over his right eye that bled freely. Arizmendi was able to prevent this cut from reopening in the later rounds.
