Austin Killeen, the popular teacher-coach from Monty Tech, lost by unanimous decision to Brooklyn’s Manuel Melon. By Killeen’s account, his southpaw foe dominated the bout at every turn. Killeen, who had won all three of his previous battles by KO’s, sported a severly bruised left eye after the bout, but got consolation by marking up Melon around the eyes.
