• In a very dirty fight from the get go, with Ruiz coming in head first and Concepcion pushing and shoving him back, Ruiz was deducted a point for headbutt in round 4, Concepcion was deducted a point for excessive holding in round 9, Ruiz was deducted a point for holding in the last round and seconds later, Concepcion was also deducted a point for pushing Ruiz outside the ropes. It took Concepcion three to four rounds to figure Ruiz out, Ruiz won some of the early rounds while Concepcion won the middle and late rounds.
