Bercot won rounds 6,9 & 10; Callahan won 1,2,3,5 & 8; the 4th & 7th rounds were even, per the Los Angeles Times. The Los Angeles Evening Express gave Callahan rounds 1,2,3,5 & 8, Bercot 6,7, 9, & 10, and scored the 4th even. The Express reported that Bercot had been sick as early as Tuesday of that week, and still felt ill Thursday, when he decided to proceed the fight. The Express reported he was ill the following day, and was being advised by his manager Lonnie Austin to take a month's rest.
