Morrie Schlaifer 151 lbs beat Pete Latzo 149 lbs by KO in round 3 of 10
- Date: 1925-06-23
- Location: Artillery Park, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA
- Referee: Frank Floyd
- Judge: Tom Walsh
- Judge: Thomas Hughes
Schlaifer knocked down Latzo for a brief count in the opening round with a left uppercut to the jaw. Latzo recovered to win the 2nd round, landing three hard one-twos to the jaw of Schlaifer. The Wilkes-Barre Record felt that Schlaifer feigned injury from Latzo's body blows near the end of the 2nd round. This led Latzo to attack Schlaifer to the body, and left him open for a sweeping left hook that ended the fight. Latzo hit the canvas with his right arm bent and his left hand upright. He was on the canvas for five minutes after the knockout.
