"Four times in the fourth round McCoy sprawled to the canvas, but he got up each time. In the fifth O'Dowd cracked McCoy with a right hand to the chin. The champ staggered, dropped and came up to clinch as the bell rang." (AP) In the sixth O'Dowd crashed a fist to McCoy's stomach and followed with a left hook to the jaw which spun McCoy on his toes and dropped him to the floor for the KO.
