Summary
Both fighters slugged it out aggressively in the opening round and Belarus was able to pin Lebedev to the ropes and knock him down. By continuously pressing the action and connecting with left straights and right hooks Denis forced his foe into a retreat mode. It became only worse for Adamovich in the second, when he was floored twice – once after a sneaky left to the liver and once, at the end, after a long right hook by Lebedev. The third stanza saw bitterly blooded Adamovich continue to receive punishment, especially to his mid-section and was knocked down twice in the third. In round four, Adamovich with a bloody mess on his face desperately tried to avoid Lebedev’s punishing power but was decked three more times. Each time Belarus would stand up only to go down in a moment or two. After the seventh knockdown the referee had seen enough, stopping a one-sided contest without a count.
