"Moreno fought a fine fight. He stood up, feinted his man, rushed through Wolgast's jab and hooked with both hands to the body. Henry got in his best blows by forcing Midget off balanace and cracking him with hooks to the head, which he did often.
But Henry's blows often looked better than they really were. Wolgast is an exceedingly shifty boxer, and many punches that appeared effective landed on the champ's shoulders. Seldom was Henry able to land solid punches, though the few he did score were good ones. New Orleans Times-Picayune
The crowd appeared to agree with the decision, while New Orleans Times-Picayune writer Pete Baird felt Wolgast won.
