According to the Los Angeles Times, Miller won easily taking eight rounds, Hansford two. Miller was effective in outboxing his foe, and using a left to the midsection as his most effective punch. Hansford's best round was the fifth, where he staggered Miller with several rights to the head. Hansford finished the bout with a cut eye.
