6'8" southpaw Tye Fields won the vacant Native American Boxing Council Heavyweight Title with a sixth round knockout of 6'5" Nicolai Firtha of Akron, Ohio. Fields, 42-2, 38 kos, Las Vegas, Nevada, won the first five rounds by scoring repeatedly with straight left hands. Late in the fifth, a straight left hand dropped the tiring Firtha, 16-6-1, 7 kos, who got up and survived the round. Early in the sixth, Fields' straight left hand to the head put Firtha on his back for the ten count at 0:43.
