Cook clearly outboxed Wolfe in the first five rounds. Wolfe hurt Cook badly in the 6th round with a right hand. Cook took a heavy pounding, before he eventually went down for a brief count. Wolfe continued to pound Cook in the 7th round, before dropping him heavily for a nine-count. Cook recovered to win the 8th and 9th rounds, before Wolfe won the final round.
