The Boxing Authority of NSW at its meeting on Tuesday 4th August 2009 reviewed the contest, received reports from Authority members present on the night, and viewed the video of the contest.
TECHNICAL DRAW decision was ruled WIN DISQULIFICATION in favour of Ammann 1:20 Round 1 (DSC).
The Authority's decision was by reason of what was determined to be the deliberate use of the right elbow on two occasions by Daniel Withers, the second occasion causing the cut to Daniel Ammann which in turn caused the bout to be stopped by the ringside Physician.
